Trees in your yard, or on the street are a valuable asset. The following percentages are based on a recent University of Washington research survey:
• Mature trees in a yard add: 2 percent
• Mature trees on the street add: 3 percent
• Trees in the front yard add: 3-5 percent
• Mature trees – High-income neighborhoods add: 10-15 percent
Obviously trees with offensive roots, messy debris, diseased or maintained poorly would not value reflecting these percentages and could actually decrease value to the property.
