Patti Smylie, Realtor® ReMax Accord Tri Valley

Clients Rick and Karen recently purchased a South Livermore Wine Country duet with an atrium attached to the kitchen and dining room. As an empty space surrounded by two walls and two sliders it lacked beauty and offered nothing but glare. After several months in the home, Rick and Karen started to plan upgrade the atrium wanting it to be an extension of their dining room and kitchen. They started with cleaning up the brick patio, installing rustic wood siding and constructing a faux fireplace focal point. They brought vigor and vitality by arranging ferns, succulents and flowering pots. Bringing the outside in not only makes the home appear larger but actually becomes an light-filled space which beautifully enhances the attached spaces.
