There are always a flurry of a calls following the Danville-Kiwanis 4th of July Parade. People are enthralled with the patriotism and old-fashioned feel and want to make Danville his/her home. How could one morning spent with 50,000 parade participants and spectators be one of the greatest calling cards for the San Ramon Valley? Find out for yourself this year when a 50+ year tradition will take place on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018 from 9:00am-noon in downtown Danville, California.
The Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley has organized and conducted the Annual Kiwanis 4th of July Parade since 1975. The parade attracts 30,000-40,000 spectators each year and is a great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate America’s birth.
The parade is co-sponsored by the Town of Danville, supported by community groups such as the Aktion Club and Boy Scouts of America, and sponsored by local businesses and individuals. All proceeds raised through sponsorship and participant registration fees are redistributed to local nonprofits through grants issued by the San Ramon Valley Kiwanis Foundation.
The parade starts at the north end of town and travels down Hartz Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard for about one mile. The parade can be seen from either side of the street and there is always plenty of room for everyone!
Please note that the Town of Danville allows parade-goers to set up chairs along the parade route at 6pm on July 3rd, but requests that tape, chalk, or other similar methods of marking spaces not be used. Please note that the Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley or Town of Danville are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
